All Play, No Work

If you’ve got the teams and talent for a top-notch tournament, the fields of green are ready and waiting in Calhoun, Georgia. Let’s get together for a game or two.

There’s plenty of room to play in Gordon County. It’s conveniently located just a few minutes off Interstate 75, halfway between Atlanta and Chattanooga and a couple hours east of Birmingham, but your ballplayers will think they’re in another world.

The Calhoun City and Gordon County recreation complexes offer baseball and softball fields with practice fields, basketball courts, football fields with practice fields, soccer fields, a swimming complex, running tracks, and a tennis center; plus playgrounds, picnic areas, pavilions, a skate park and green space to relax between games.

As proud as we are of our facilities, there’s more to us than sports. The county also boasts history, arts, shopping, golf, modern and affordable hotels and a variety of restaurants.

Combine all these elements with talented, friendly people eager to help and you’ve got yourself a game plan.
