The Gordon County Convention & Visitors Bureau is partnering with the City of Calhoun Recreation Department to present the 2nd annual Snowman Spectacular. Join us as local businesses, organizations, schools, churches, and families display their creative skills in a community-wide snowman-building competition. And don’t worry—snow is not required! Crafted from weather-resistant materials, the snowmen will stand proudly, defying the elements.

This year’s festivities kick off on Friday, December 6, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Calhoun Recreation Department – 110 Recreation Drive, with an all-new, family-friendly Kickoff Night filled with activities for all ages.  Bring the whole family for a magical evening featuring delicious food trucks, train rides, whimsical “snow”, crafts, and a visit to Santa’s Workshop.

But the celebration doesn’t end there!  From December 6th through the 20th, the amazing snowman creations will be displayed at the Calhoun Recreation Department along the paved path that connects the Black & Yellow playground and the large parking lot. We encourage everyone to stop by and vote for their favorite. Prizes await the People’s Choice and Judge’s Favorite award winners.

Registration forms are available at the Gordon County Convention & Visitors Bureau located at the Gordon Chamber – 300 South Wall Street, Calhoun.
